Friday 28th August
Llorenç Barber, Montserrat Palacios, Saturnino Celani and Yuval Avital
Within the icon-sonic installation Alma Mater four great performers come in a dialogue with the plexus of signs and material sounds. Montserrat Palacios weaves threads of voices and gestures with the rhythmical pedal of an old sewing machine. Llorenç Barber, one of the most important composers of our time, plays a labyrint of bells replying to the forest of loudspeakers and voices of grandmothers. Together they join the electric guitar of Yuval Avital and the electric bass guitar of Saturnino Celani in a really extraordinary performance.
